I once was driving down an interstate behind a flatbed truck carrying 2 gazebos. Suddenly the roof on one of them flew off and landed in front of me. Fortunately, I was able to stop before hitting it (as was the truck behind me). That would have been an interesting explanation, too: "I ran into the roof of a gazebo". I'm sure they would have asked for the results of the breathalyser test.
Several years ago my wife and I were heading home from a cycling trip. Our bikes were on our roof rack on the car. I was sleeping when my wife's screaming jarred me awake.
