This is a tough picture to get right, and this isn't it, but never-the-less it makes for a interesting scene:(Click on image for a larger view)The Reserve Fleet at Bremerton, WA on March 25, 2013 with the Olympic Mountains in the background. Shot from Port Orchard, across Sinclair Inlet. From left to right: carriers Independence (CV 62), Kitty Hawk (CV 63), Constellation (CV 64) and Ranger (CV 61). The frigate is unidentified, but believed to be the Jewett.I need to try this again with different light.Mickhttp://www.mickklassphoto.comorVisit my nikonians gallery

Mick perhaps you can reshoot this as a Pano, zooming in on the ships? Even looking at the larger file, it is hard for me to see detail and I don't think the board in the foreground adds anything.

Bob:Not a true panorama, but 36MP is enough to create a cropped panorama good enough for the web.Click on either image for a larger view.orIn a few weeks when the trees have leafed out behind the ships, this will probably be a better scene. I'll go back and try a "real" panorama.Mickhttp://www.mickklassphoto.comorVisit my nikonians gallery

Nice ones, Mick. The "mothball" fleet in Suisan Bay by Benicia has been shrinking lately. AnthonyThe Moderator Page and My GalleryThe important things in life are simple; the simple things are hard.
