Taken last September at the "Great Frederick Fair", in Frederick MD. I dropped the WB temp down to 3150 in the first one, and raised it to about 6000 in the second. Both taken with a D700 and 24-120mm at f/4, ISO 6400.
Two very different looking images here Jerry. Both look good. From a WB perspective I think I prefer #2 but from a composition perspective I prefer #1 as I feel the need to see the gondolas (or whatever they are called) on the right hand side.
I'd be interested to see version with the WB adjusted somewhere nbetween the extremes you have used. Derek
It's amazing how a simple change in WB can completely affect a photograph. Both are good, but I think I prefer the mood of the 2nd one. I find the first one a little cool for the atmosphere you would expect to find around a ferris wheel while if it had been part of a cityscape, the cooler one would have prevailed
