B&W is perfect for the sleepy little places you captured.
It looks like you stopped along I-25 and I-40, didn't get far off the highway (not a criticism).
I have passed by these places gazillions of times in my regular travels in NM, always mean
to stop but never have.
Laguna-Acoma reservation looks awful close for 105mm, though, so maybe you did exit the highway .
Sad little run-down gas station in Las Vegas. In the early 1900s, Las Vegas was THE biggest city in NM --
farming and ranching hub. The railroad closed its repair roundhouse in the early 1960s, then the
Interstate bypassed the city.
Acoma is one of the oldest, continuously-inhabited communities in the US (800 years, wikipedia).
