Hi Bob. It's a small world. I was staying in the Mercure Hotel (just visible through the arches of your image) for one night on the way through to Rothenburg. A fascinating and wonderful 1800 year old structure. Scaffolding is always a problem but there's nothing much you could havwe done about that and the gate is too significant not to capture it. Was there a problem to get the bottom of the gate in your image? You got some blue sky which is better than I managed. I'll post one of my attempts (taken from our hotel room) a bit later.
Aha you spilled my secret! In the original image there was a need to do a perspective correction and the bottom of the image was filled with tourists. So when I made the required correction of a TIFF moved to Photoshop for that purpose, I lost the tourists and a tiny bit of the bottom of the structure. I thought it was a good trade off, but now you have exposed me.
