The autumn with all its colours may not be the obvious target for IR photography. But I simply couldn't resist aiming my IR-modded D200 with the 17-35/2.8 at this scene. ISO: 200 Focal length: 17 mm. Aperture: f/9.5 Shutterspeed: 1/40 sec. (150KB limit adds jpeg artifacts to the fine details in the image)
That is so wonderful! My eyes are drawn straight in to that hut and back out again through the trees and plants. The splash of blue sky adds an appropriate context as well as a minimalist colour contrast. The only thing missing is a little old man with his wood chopping axe! Truly excellent, very well done.
