...nothing quite like 'em huh?
This hover fly was happily sipping opiates from one of the poppies in the garden. He/She was there long enough for me to go inside, get the tripod, set up and take the shot. The hoverflies are about 10mm long - they are an absolute ##### (<EDIT: I didn't realise the Nikonians 'naughtiness' filter was quite that sensitive!) to try and capture whilst hovering!

Thanks. As I said, this little one stayed put for a while. I forgot to mention I drank about half a cup of coffee just watching before I thought 'that's one chilled fly, I might take a picture of that' ... as you do
