Kalakaleskies Falls, about two miles north of Highlands, NC. October, 1999.
F5, Tokina F2.6-2.8 lens, polorizer filter, Kodak E100VS, three second exposure, bogen tripod and head.
Not one of my favorite photos, but I have only scanned in a few, so I'm running out of examples. Interesting fact, this is a man made waterfall, and the name is almost impossible to pronounce
. Again, the water has glare; however, it is not present in the Ilfochrome 8 x 12 print I had made. (Must be this darn Compag Laptop.)

um, when I try to ponounce it, I come at "Ca-le-ke-less-kees"... is that about right? =)
I love the regular shadow on the falls itself (which is possible due to the man-madeness I suppose).
Here's a thought: Have you tried taking a picture of this picture with your D1, and checking whether the result is better than scanning it?

My mistake... perhaps you know anyone with a D1 (or similarly powerfull digital camera?) ?
BTW: have you noticed messages being posted double while you thought you only posted once? This seems to be a recent bug that manifested itself quite obviously here... and I don't have a clue as to how it keeps happening.
