Thank you for responding. I think Zebra are very good subject matter for photography. In this case they were very relaxed maybe because of the cold wet weather. However, as you know, they often can become very boys-tress making good action pictures.
Your wish, my command. Unfortunately by the time I was close enough to the Zebra and the Zebra was at an appropriate angle, there was quite a bit of grass in the way. Some of the grass give a three dimensional effect
I like it in B&W Aart. Would have liked it even more if the whites were a little brighter, the grass was not there and the last little bit of the "U" shape in the white hair on the left was there. Nicely seen.
Aren't these two the same image with a different crop? There is no way the individual hairs would be exactly the same on the head and tail, or did I read the opening statement incorrectly? Great subject though. I wish they were in my back yard.

Hello Ken, I am not sure what this is about. #1 was the photo I wanted original. #2 is a photo I actually discarded to have less of the sky, slightly cropped. #3 is an exact copy of #1 rendered in B&W. I also prefer the B&W version.
Now I see, you referred to my own statement. Sorry the second picture were not supposed to be there. With the crop I referred to the very neat mane of the Zebra. In the "future" I referred to a picture I wanted to post of the very untidy mane and hair of the young Zebra. However, there was so little response on my Zebra I decided not to post it. Let me post it for what it is worth.
