I posted this over in A Picture I Took as I've posted a number of others from this project there. But this one is a macro, and perhaps it's worth showing here too.

D2x, 105/f2.8 AFD Micro-Nikkor, f/8, 1/125th, ISO 100, tripod, remote.

The literal subject is an old freight car that's obviously seen better days. I found the texture of the paint, and the very much suggested history of the car to be quite interesting.

And it is a change of pace from the summer insects.
