I like the eyes as well. They show a lot of intensity. It's a shame they have the face guards on their helmets since it blocks a lot of their expression.
My hat is off to anyone that can get these crisp photos in such low light. My daughter plays volleyball and trying to get a nice clean picture is driving me bonkers. My son just started baseball ... I may have to wait until the days get longer before trying to catch one of his games. But I doubt they let me on the field ... he wouldn't want me there anyway!
Thank you for these. The season starts in two weeks here, and I've not tried softball (and only a bit of minor league (adult type) baseball). Looking forward to giving it a try, but quite literally have not even seen the field yet, have no idea what it entails.
Thanks all for the words of encouragement. I think I'll try baseball behind the wall! Wish our school had better lighting on its field. Softball coach told me 1/5 of the lights were out on what's already a very dim lit field. With that said, most photographers won't get the results you can achieve at your home field, so you have a better chance of coming out on top.
