Some very nice images here, John. The only drawback is that posting images with 1200 pixels in the vertical direction makes it necessary to scroll too much in order to see the whole image. I have a 27" monitor, and even with a monitor of that size any image with greater than about 800 pixels vertically makes scrolling necessary in order to view the image in its entirety.
What's important is that the vertical elements in an image appear vertical or as nearly vertical as possible without introducing other distortions. I always correct the verticals first and then try to make the horizontals appear horizontal if possible. Sometimes you can't make the horizontals appear horizontal.
These considerations apply to most images and are not confined to sports images.
