Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. - Nicomachean Ethics
Nice Picture, I was out there for a week about a year ago, foggy all week, didn't get a clear view the entire time we were there. I see you are from Brevard, I was up there a few weeks ago for the Assault on the Carolinas, great place to cycle.
Thanks Mike, we love Brevard. Cycling capital of Western NC.
Would have ridden the Assault but we left town that day for other commitments. More mountain biking for me these days as we are surrounded by 19,000 acres of Pisgah National Forest and it's easier to ride right out the driveway.
You should ride the Hwy 215 to the parkway route someday if you haven't, it's beautiful.
Thanks Rob, the whitecaps were pretty impressive from my vantage point. I drove by Marina Green on the way up for the shot and witnessed the rescue crews, police, fire and medics on the scene but was not aware of what had happened. There were quite a few Coast Guard boats in the bay and helicopters as well. When returning, the area was full of news crews so I figured something big happened and seeing the news, it all made sense, very tragic.
