The former State Hospital Grounds in Traverse City

Shot this the other day before the rain began across a large open wetland that borders the former State Hospital grounds on the west side of Traverse City. The old buildings date back to 1885 and held hundreds of mental patients. After the facility closed many of the buildings fell into disrepair. But eventually a developer came in and converted them to retail businesses and offices. The work continues today but the place is doing well.

Nikon D800E Nikon 24-120 f4 1/500 at f 11 for some reason I had the EV comp set at +0.3 matrix metering
