I was not the only one looking for wild birds in the everglades. Found this young bobcat female lurking under some cabbage palms just after dawn. She was in the dark and the sun was not fully up but I was able to get a few shots before she ducked into the foliage.

Right you are. I've saw them at Wako several years ago, but the distance and the foliage made it an impossibility to get a shot. At Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge the mow the marsh several times a year and this opens up some land so you can see. This gal was on a bank between the forested area and the marsh. Thus I got lucky.
