The Sora is a 8 inch wading bird who lives in dense waterplants. It is often heard but seldom seen. In three years of looking for it I've only seen it 3 times, two of which offered no chance of a photograph. Yesterday, in very low light I finally got one in a semi open area. This bird is nervous, very fast and extremely skittish.

Even a record shot would be something Larry! I've seen one once at Carden Alvar, in 2010 I think, and there was no chance for any kind of shot. Keep after it - maybe it'll pose beside your lens like that bittern did.
