Based upon an email I recieved from FUJI the prelim of the September Cable release They list tips for the S1/S2/S3/S5, thats right S5. No mention of the S4 it is either a typo, a slip up on a release of info or who knows maybe it will be an S5.
I really appreciate the effort Fuji has extended to improve the dynamic range of digital capture. I've been sorely tempted to buy the S3, but each time, I remember none of the Fuji bodies will meter with my manual focus Nikkors. I hope the F4 will be different.
More and more rumours are about that we will get an announcement on 25th September which will introduce the S5 Pro. It is not a typo, the 4 is an unlucky number in Japan, so they skip it. Also it looks like that the base will be the D200, so manual lenses can be supported.
What about Nikon F4 - all of it's modifications? Unlucky? The camera was the best in the world during 12 years, Nikon made more than $1,0 billion on it(not clear profit, to be exact). Don't know about Fuji - could be unlucky for them.
