Just purchased a S5 Pro and this is one sweet camera, the photos are spectacular!,only one blip with "dead pixels"that i'm sure will be taken care of by Fujifilm Canada without doubt, haven't heard of problems,i'm lucky i guess. Well must continue shooting and being amazed by the color and detail in the shadows.

Hi, just got mine yesterday and after reading all of the mixed reports etc I am amazed with the colour and white balance. I took my Nikon 17-55 mm and walked ouside, camera in P* and started shooting, lovely contrasty and sharp images straight from the camera. Shot in overcast at 800 and not a hint of noise. Using RAW only when needed, impressive JPEG images. I shoot weddings as well an have to date used a D200, D70 and have done a fair bit in post. The D200 is a great camera but noise is an issue and images need work post. I don't generally shoot sports so speed is not an issue. (have the D200 if needed) Fast AF, CF card write is marginally behind the D200. I seem to have picked up the menu system, not a lot of options to choose from. The playback is a little strange but I imagine this will become second nature. Overall a great camera and images demonstrate this. Face detection is good and for wedding work great. Fuji just need to do a firmware for faster CF writing and it will be IMHO perfect.

Hello, speaking of beans,i have 6 varieties growing in my backyard "wish they were coffee beans"my friend came over and macro'd with his big C camera, well i pretty much made him a believer with this Fuji sensor, his photos were sharper, but the depth of colours were all mine, mine, mine! The fence surrounding my property is 6 year old treated pine and in my OOF areas you can see the different hues of the wood, his big C photos are no comparison,,maybe the Sigma 150 macro for 1/3rd his c macro helped?,buddies still scratching his head,i told him to go take a break and read some reviews.
The more i use this camera the more i understand why they put in their own sensor.
