I stopped by a local Ritz Camera. The sales guy there showed me a:

Quantraray (Tokina) 19-35mm 1:3.5-4.5 for $199. It looked good on a Nikon, and decent build 'feel'.

Quantraray (Sigma) 24mm, 2.8, $169. It has a heavy solid feel - metal construction.

Is he talking smack, or does Tokina and Sigma? They 'looked' good to an untrained eye. I have an FM2. I could not see any distortion on the 24mm, and very little on the zoom. Edges looked bright and fine. I could get into a zoom that price. 5 year warranty.

What do you think.

(Or should I buy a used 24mm Nikkor...)
