It only means one thing. Cosina is now a high end camera manufacturer. Which isn't a bad thing. I believe most of the Cosina products are still made in Japan while many Nikon, Canon, Minolta and Pentax products now are made from outside of Japan in Thailand, Taiwan, China etc... Now I have an Idea for Nikon. Nikon started out making lenses for the Leica and Contax rangefinders and became a very successful company. How about Nikon starts once again doing the same thing???
I want them to bring back the original Zeiss Ikonta 6x6 rangefinder cameras - man I love those beauties - I own a 1938 sample, although the optics aren't as contrasty as the later CF Zeiss lenses, they are however quite sharp for their age(and these lenses are uncoated).
