Great first day shots. I was reading posts elsewhere where people were kidding about the first pictures we take in the excitement when getting a new camera. Yours do a really nice job of showing what the camera has to offer.
I had a chance to try a friends RX100, the first iteration, and really liked the size advantages it offered but ultimately went in a different direction. They really did add some great new features to the MK II. Did you have the "original?"

Nice images, Joel. However, I am sure it is mostly the photographer and not the camera!
I tried an older Sony that my wife liked for a time (the DSC-W150 Cyber-shot). And, it took nice images for a little point and shoot. That was before my Nikon Digital Camera days with my first DSLR the D90 followed by more DSLRs. Then I got the P7000 at one point for small carry on my belt use. I liked the results. I got some award winning prints with that nifty little camera (although a bit slow in focusing). Now, however, my only real diversion away from Nikon is Fuji with first, the nice X10, and then the super nice X100. I guess I could go broke trying out all the new possibilities.
