I have a friend at work who builds recumbent bikes. Kinda neat, not my thing, but pretty cool. I was cleaning out some stuff and found some old bike parts: Truvativ triple crank, Shimano square taper bottom braacket, SRAM 9-speed gears 12-26, Shimano Tiagra long cage rear derailer, and Shimano (flat bar) triple front derailer. Anyways, I didn't need them really and rather than go through the trouble of selling it on Craigslist, I let him have them. In return, he gave me an Olympus OM-1, 50mm f/1.8 and 35mm f/2.8.
Looks like everything works. I may run a roll this weekend. Kinda neat!
I still have it, but it is unused for want of time and abundance of Nikon stuff, including FA and Nikkormat FTn. But it still is in working order with its 50/1.8, its 28/3.5 and a (very bad third-party) 70-300 zoom!
A roll of Tri-X is in order, I believe

Auta i lomë! And my Nikon's only awaiting daylight...
Hey, Anthony. Nice to see you here. I own several Oly's and am most familar with them. The OM1 is a work horse, not fancy but tough as nails. I have one of those, an OM10 with the shutter speed select option and three OM4T's. Enjoy the OM1, it's a great little camera. In my humble opinion Oly's are second only to Nikons. (I never was a fan of Canon). LOL
Now that's a difficult thing to qualify. My favourite Nikon is my FM2, but after a day's photography with my OM-1 I do have to admit that the Oly sometimes has just as much charm and character as the FM2. Mind you, I do admit this very quietly, just to ensure I do not hurt my FM2's feelings.
