There was an interesting report today on Ars Technica about the upcoming Lytro Light Field Camera.

Apparently Steve Jobs and the CEO of Lytro, Ren Ng, were working together in June 2011 to bring this technology to the iPhone and so "revolutionize" mobile photography. The GUI to do it is already in place and apparently the concept is a natural for an iPhone Photographer for getting the "Decisive Moment" at capture without fiddling with DOF, Focus etc. all of which could be adjusted afterwards.

That's an interesting concept and I suspect could indeed change the course of mobile photography. Trust Apple to be out in front!

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.
