Got a beautiful little Rebel G, in the Canon bag, with 35-80 and 28-200 kit lenses. It is a joy to shoot with Portra 400. After shooting a couple of rolls, I think the metering, and going to say it here, is better than Nikon metering. It rarely gets fooled. And it's loaded with some nice electronic gadgetry. Love shooting with it so much that I am thinking about a 50mm for Christmas. Aside from the plasticky build (and believe me, the Nikkor 50 is MUCH better build quality than the Canon), what a neat little system.

Any other Nikonians out there dabbling with this little SLR?
