I read on rangefinder forum about a new Fuji X 50 digital camera that is smaller and cheaper than the X 100. I don't know how much truth is in this rumor, but it listed the sensor size as 2/3". How large is that? is it between micro 4/3 and something smaller? Why don't they just list sensor size as a crop factor, like the Nikon aps-c is a 1.5x? This would make the other ways of expressing sensor size useless.

Googled the Fuji X50, and it appears all the rumors are coming from the same source: a printed catalog with a photo of the camera, some specs, and a $599 price. This looks like a potentially interesting camera, and with the rumor of it based on its appearing in a printed catalog, it seems likely to be true. I'd like a smaller alternative to my DSLR, but none of the existing alternatives seems exactly right (for me). This rumor has my interest!
