Basicly - a good camera.Can give you great results or horrible results...
It's really worth keeping as an all in one camera ... but I traded it for some MF Nikon lenses.

Great shots. I owned a SX3, SX 5, SX10 and SX30 and sold them all. Every time I had a good capture, I always wished it had been taken with a dslr. I did the CHDK hack to get RAW files but still wasn't overly pleased with the final output. I recently bought an Olympus E-PL2 as my non Nikon "small" camera and am very pleased with the results so far. It is about the same size as the SX30 and weighs less.

Hi Dave - I been VERY happy and impressed with my 4/3's outfit;
Olympus E-PL1 w/ 14-52 and 50-150.
Though I'd rather Panasonic "G" w/ 8mm,7-14,14-140,and 100-300.
- but we are talking thousands to convert over...
and I have D5100 - great camera...
w auto-focus lens system and a set of MF lenses.
