After reading several positive posts about the Markins I think it is the right head for my current set up. I have a 300 f4(old one), 1.4TC and a 80-200 2.8. The head should be fine for them, but was wondering if anyone has used a 500mm f4 on one?

I've not rich or well-connected enough to have tried the big glass with the Markins. However, I've mounted an old Calumet 4x5 view camera and the Markins was rock solid with it. The camera certainly weighs over 10 lbs. with lens and Polaroid back. The Markins website opening image has a Leica Leica R400mm f/2.8 on an M1 head and many users work with medium or large format equipment.
The 500mm f/4 IF-ED is a little over 8 lbs. - about 11 lbs. with an F5 body - while the M1 is rated for a load of approximately 90 lbs. While I can't fathom how you'd configure a 90 lb. load or where you'd find a tripod with similar capacity, I have no doubt the M1 would easily support a fast 500mm rig at a fraction of that weight.
You could email Markins and ask your question directly if nobody here has tried the big glass.
