I am thinking about getting the Benbo Trekker mk2 tripod this week, I would like to know if anyone has any experience with this tripod?
It should come with compact ball and socket head and carry case for the price of £120
I need a tripod and wondered if this was a good choice, I will mainly use it for landscape photos at the moment using a F80 with the biggest lense on it being the Nikkor 70-300mm D
the Newtonian Nikonian

I use the big Bembo(not the Trekker Mk2) for 6x7 and view camera work and find it excellent and when I need extreme height in any format as the big Bembo gets up around 7 or 8 feet.
Im sure the one you mention will be fine for 35mm.
One nice thing about the Bembo is you can put the legs in the sea or mud without gumming the works,if you take care not to swamp the mid leg join.
Also great for shooting straight down.
you wont regret it.
