Afternoon....

This afternoon I was driving along Town Lake (the Colorado River, running through Austin) and stopped to look at the city skyline.

Well, it was magnificent day here, and there were a number of photographers out shooting the skyline.

One person's rig made me look twice.....her tripod had small bags of what appeared to be sand or some other material hadnging from several of the clamps on her tripod legs.

I did not have the courage to go up to her and ask, but it appeared to be a means to sturdy the tripod, as it was rather gusty.....

Does this work??? Is this an attempted cure for a wobbly tripod???

Any thoughts???

Cheers!!
