I have a Bogen 3205 tripod and it really is too short for me.I am 6'2" and have to use a lot of the center post on the 3205 which makes it prone to vibrations. What would be a good replacement for this model. It would be nice to stick with Bogen so that I know that I can use the head that I have or do Bogen heads fit other makes? Thanks, Mike

The 3205 is 47.5" tall with extended legs (no center column), weighting 4.8 lbs, which is nice. The 3021 extends to 54.75 inches, weighting 6 lbs and the 3221 tripod is 55.1 inches tall, weighting 6.5 lbs, about 2 more lbs than your current tripod and almost 8 inches more and of the same general type. If you add the head and the body, the viewfinder should come at about 63 to 65 inches depending on the head you use. There are of course even taller tripods but thay are either studio type or video type. Not that there is anything wrong with them but they are heavier by no less than another 2 to 3 pounds, like the 3033 extending to 56.7 inches with a non-rollback geared center column with arms to the legs, but weighting 8.1 lbs.
Scroll down the page for the tripod. Scroll a little beyond the tripod and there is even a 1/4" adapter. There are other brands on this site, but that is the only 1/4" adapter I saw. It doesn't say 1/4"x20 threads, but you can always pick up the phone and call. -scott
