They are, Bob. I dont have the optics required for such a beasty support ,unfortunately. I couldnt remember the name of the "plamp". Im looking for a plamp like device, that attaches to my tripod head to flag off lens flare, that is suitable for studio or fieldwork.
I think the plamps too light and the Manfrotto237 flex arm needs the superclamp fixed to the tripod head. The ony space available on the head is the handles on most heads. Is there any other good flag gear around? ta
This might help. Speedgraphic in the UK - http://www.speedgraphic.co.uk - list something called a "Flarebuster". This is a 15-inch long flexible arm with a clip on the end to hold a sheet of card or whatever (it's not clear whether the card is included). The other end comes with a second clip, or a hot-shoe foot, depending on which of the two versions you choose.
