For Christmas I recieved a Manfrotto Tripod w\ a ManFrotto Grip action Ball head. The Head has a Balancer (one of those bubble things w\ a circle in em) and When I get the Balancer set to "balanced" I look into the viewfinder and the picture is clearly Crooked. What am I doing wrong? Is this a big problem? has somebody else had the same problem? any help\advise is appricated.

The plastic bubble level may be inserted into the dovetail slot inaccurately or it may be flawed. Try removing it and remounting it, perhaps on the other side, or you could just ignore it. A bubble level is hard to use with a ballhead, especially with the Grip Action head which is harder to adjust without having the action of squeezing the grip lever slightly shift the position you've chosen.
I find a grid screen to be a better aid to keeping the horizon level in most situations.
That's what I would guess. Perhaps the bubble window and base probably weren't bonded together properly. Your dealer can get a replacement or you can contact Manfrotto (or Bogen in the USA) and they should send you one.
