Hi, Nikonians.
I have returned recently from a trip to Alaska to photograph bears, and I got some sand in the legs of my Gitzo tripod. I have dismantled it and cleaned it, but one leg is giving me trouble.
I cannot get the plastic shims to stay put and the leg is either able to fall out completely or is so tight it is unmanageable.
I would be very grateful for any advice please!
The legs are carbon fibre and as you would know, it is not a cheap tripod!
Many thanks.
