How to remove the ball head from a Manfrotto BeFree
I would think the ball head just screws off but it just goes round and round. I want to remove the ball head from a Manfrotto BeFree tripod so I can mount a video head.
PS: it does not show anything in their instructions that I can find.

There may be some set screws that you have to loosen from the underside of the tripod mounting surface. You also may need a narrow strap wrench to grip the base of the head to remove it.

Some manfrotto lightweight tripods doesn't have the option to remove the head. I have one myself(can't remember the model) that I had to modify to be able to have the ability to change heads.

>After working with it for some time I was able to get it off.
In the end, what did you have to do to remove it? I am having the same problem and would rather not have to reinvent the wheel so to speak. I would appreciate some ore detail.
