Feisol leveling base dimensions
I have an old, wooden, very sturdy and heavy geodezists tripod, which I love, since no other tripods come even close to it. Now I am thinking to mount on it a feisol leveling base. I do not know how can I find the dimensions of Feisol leveling base, thus I would like to ask if a Nikonian that has a Feisol leveling base can help me and answer to my few questions on its dimensions... Please help!

The Feisol leveling base is designed to replace the regular mounting base - which would make it 67mm in diameter and 10mm thick. I doubt it can be used with a geodesists tripod. Berlebach makes a leveling base that may work for you.

Thank you Chris! Which model of tripod and matching leveling base you have? In fact their web site has a mismatch on leveling bases. You can check: http://www.feisol.net/feisol-leveling-base-lb7572-p-63.html, http://www.feisoleurope.com/feisol-leveling-base-lb7572-p-63.html, also on this same page: http://www.feisol.com/0823tripodsdetails-1.html. The opening for the potential leveling base on the spider of my geodesists tripod is 65 mm, and spiders thickness is 9 mm. Your plate and base are probably being fixed through horisontal screws, as it should be for the CT-3372 or 3472. However for the geodesist tripod it should be more convenient the version where the plate is tightened vertically as it is in the older CT-3371/3471 tripods...
