Gitzo GT2542T and Arca Swiss Z1
I finally broke down and bought the above combination to replace a Benro that I had been carrying and boy what a difference. The tripod and bullhead came yesterday and I went out in Chicago this morning before sunrise to take some pictures. It was 22 out and I sure didn't want problems.
The equipment performed flawless, I was able to setup the tripod in half the time I spend on the Benro and I just can't say enough about the bullhead. On the B1 (bento) I had a couple of adjustment knobs that worked so so, with this Z1, I was able to setup the camera in no time using only one knob.
I will never go back to using any of the cheap bullheads, I was initially worried about spending so much money, but boy was it worth it.

I'm a big fan of the Arca-Swiss heads. I have a B1. There are several great ball head makers out there. (I have Markins also.) But as far as I know, only Arca-Swiss has the elliptical ball. That is worth the price of admission IMO.
