I have had a look at the proshop, and on the youtube videos showing how you rebuild a GT3541 to a "MACICA".

I wonder why use a gitzo at all?

The hub is replaced
The feets are replaced
The center column is removed.

Nothing left of the gitzo - except from three legs?

So what's the point of buying such an expensive tripod, and then double the price by rebuilding to something the looks more like a markins?

Why not just ask markins to produce tripods (I guess only legs, the rest is already there)?

Just wondering, while waiting for my 3541L to arrive
