I went today for a local Nikon dSLR owners meet-up for a night lights scene shootings. Many people had very good cameras – 2 or 3 had D800, one had D800E, couple of D7000 and few D700. I did not count D5x00 and D3x00 bodies. But every single person had a under-performing aluminum tripods with center column (extanded) and some of the tripods had leg locking brace - we all know what it means... I was really surprised how little attention people are paying to the tool that will allow them to get good, sharp images. The sad part – the group leader was pretty much in the same boat as others…

Best regards,
Vlad

Ps here as one that I like from last night
