Hi -

I've been trying to research the above two items on this forum and the web to be sure I understand what I need for my equipment. Some of the info I've read here appear to be older and makes refernce to loctite if I want to marry two different manufacturers?

If I order a Markins ballhead to use with RRS L Bracket/Plates (Quick Release), I should order the Markins NQS version?

If I order the RRS BH-40LR, this would already incl the plate for the tripod but I would need to buy a camera specific plate or L Bracket?

Is there anything else I need to consider or be aware of?

Nikon D300
Gitzo G1227
largest lens Nikon 80-200 (older model but has lens collar)
I would like to also add the Nikon 24-70 2.8 in the future

Thank you in advance for your response and help.

Regards,
Susana
