The last threads I can find on this topic go back a ways.

I have just gotten the Manfrotto arm that allows mounting of multiple cameras or other items to my tripod, so now I have the spot for the camera and another spot for a laptop platform, for shooting tethered.

I'd appreciate some thoughts on the relative utility / merits of different laptiop platforms, assuming sufficient size to hold a 15" laptop.

I have looked at Manfrotto's offering in person; not very impressed.

I know Gitzo makes one, haven't seen it in person.

tethertools.com seems to get a lot of press lately, albeit pricey.

Any help? Thanks!
