I have been asked to be the photographer for a two day event of 100 + people. I own a couple of D7000's and numerous lens, all vr plus two primes, 35mm and 50mm. I am 75 years old and have been shooting as advanced amateur for 50 years. I don't have any health problems, but my hands are not as steady as I would like.
1. Does anyone have any experience with valium or xanax in shooting, i.e. will they steady the hands?

2. There will be times where I might be able to use a tripod. Any suggestions on which one or type is optimum--price, weight, and steady.

Thamks in advance for any help.
