I bought one of these in January and am very happy with it. I had a Kirk LP-45 but sold it because I carry my 70-200 in a Think Tank Lens Changer 75 and found that the Kirk foot was always catching on the edge of the bag. The 4th Generations foot has a much lower profile and solved this problem. Dave Jolley

That 4th Gen design is interesting, something similar to the low profile Wimberly feet for the larger telephotos.
I have the same problem with my LC-75.
Does the low profile impair its use as a handle? That is a problem with many/most, maybe all of the Wimberly feet (to some degree) and an unavoidable compromise held hostage to the specific lens geometry in the neighborhood of the lens foot.
I'm a devout lens foot handle kind of guy, which is why I've never tried the Wimberly feet. Although I've been tempted with my 500/4 because of a specific issue I have with the Wimberly gimbal and their flash bracket, and the resulting balance.
