From time to time we get a thread or topic with one or more in depth posts or interesting discussion. We cannot pin every interesting thread because that might quickly get out of hand. I thought it might be a good idea to start one pinned topic listing for all these threads.
Feel free to post your thoughts directly to any threads listed here, regardless of age. All Nikonians have something to contribute, especially your actual experiences with the gear. The more input the better!

Gary Worrall provides a complete illustrated cleaning guide for the later Gitzo G-Lock legs. Thanks Gary! There are some old guides around the net for cleaning older Gitzo legs, but this is the first good guide I've seen for the now current G-Lock legs.
Do you own a Manfrotto 055 PROB tripod and want to eliminate the center column so you do not have to articulate the arm to get down low? See this thread (replies #14/15) for the details.

Just a reminder that bolts and screws do loosen over time and that the consequences of ignoring routine maintenance can be expensive.
