Just bought a well cared for Bogen 3021 tripod with
a set of nice leg pads (all for $100... I'm thinking
that was reasonable given I didn't have to pay for
shipping or tax).

Now I'm looking for a ball head to go along with it.
Currently have an F100... most lenses fairly light,
but I see a 80-200 2.8 in my future... and maybe something
bigger). I'd like to get something that preferably has
tension control... I know everyone raves about the
Acra Swiss... but hey... if I could afford that, I wouldn't
have gotten the tripod used. I'd like to keep it under
$150ish... mostly used for outdoor and macro shooting.

Here's what I'm looking at... thoughts on any of these?

Giotto MH-1001
Bogen 3413QR (no tension?)
Novoflex mini-magic ball (no tension)
Novoflex mid-magic ball (they were supposed to release something
that fit between their standard head and the mini head that
had tension control)

Any other suggestions for heads to look for.

Idealy, I'd like to get a fairly light head... the tripod
is fairly heavy as it is, but should fit nicely on my
mini-trekker backpack.

Thanks!

G
