Would this be a good purchase for me?
I have a $25 tripod which I very rarely use, but these forums have convinced me that a good tripod would be the next best step in taking me to thee next level.
I currently have a D80, 18-200, Sigma 10-20, and just ordered a Sigma 150 Macro. In the future, I would like a longer lens.
I mainly take travel type shots with the 18-200 handheld, but am getting more interested in macro.
An acquaintance is offering to sell a Bogen Manfrotto 3221WN with a 3063 fluid head and a quick release plate.
Yes, I would rather have a good ball head, but finances don't justify it now.
Is this setup worthwhile for me? The fluid head would seem more useful with a video camera, and the outfit is fairly heavy.
What would be a fair price?

I have two Manfrotto tripods the 3001N and the 055XV both are excellent and very steady. Manfrotto makes quality products the 3221W is a good solid tripod.
Now I am unfamiliar with the head but doing some research it seems like a solid head that would support your load. Though it looks more like a Video Camera head but again it seems like if the price is right you have a solid setup. Plus the 3221W will last you can always add a ballhead later.
