I just got my Feisol CT-3371. It seems like a very stable tripod.
I open it to it to full height, with the tripod head and d200 on it would be almost as tall as me. Almost 6 foot.
At its full height it was wobble. I moved the top legs in by about 6 inches and it became very stable.
The carbon fiber seems plasticly to me. From a perception stand point metal feels strong. But I love the reduced wait of the carbon fiber.
I bought the tripod from feisol.com. It was back ordered but I received in in two weeks. The people at Feisol were very profession and very prompt with their email responses. I would do business with them again
I took the following picture with my d200, Tokina 400mm 5.6 and Nikon sb-800 flash. The picture turned out very well. The tripod was stable when I took the photo.

Interesting. I have the 3471 and fully extended it is very stable. Even grabbing two legs and twisting them did not produce any movement. I would make sure that all 6 leg locks are sufficiently tight. There should be no leg collapse if you were to push down on the top plate.
Enjoy the pod.

There was no leg collapse. But there seem to be some horizontal movement. When I reduced the height it became more stable in the horizontal direction. I noticed the same type of play in my Manfrotto 190xb. It seems like the leg joints have additional play/sidewards movement in both tripods when they are fully extended.
I tried twisting my Feisol tripod. It did not twist.
The Feisol tripod seems to be a good tripod. I want to use it this weekend. Hopefully it would not rain.
The most stable tripod that I have is the Gitzo 1410. But that one weights a ton.
Thanks for replying

It sounds like something is wrong or defective if you're seeing any movement.
My 3371 has the older four position leg locks and old school CF, but mine is rock solid... Absolutely zero movement. I'd suggest you contact them about getting a replacement if you are indeed seeing any movement at all.

I did some additional tests with my new tripod. It is very stable and I am very happy with it.
I took the following image using the new tripod.
