Buying at the Nikonians PhotoProShop helps support this your community.
Furthermore, under the Loyal Membership Act - Action 1: All Silver, Gold and Platinum members who purchase Markins Ball Heads (alone or in MAGICA Kits) at the PhotoProShop Will have their membership extended for 6 months in reciprocity for their support to the community.
Make sure you mention your username in the comments area at checkout. The extension will be honored to all members who are Silver, Gold or Platinum at the time of placing their purchase order and executed shortly after shipping. A message will be sent to purchasers from the PhotoProShop at the time of execution. Members can verify their membership status at their own My User Menu link, under the Membership tab.

Action 1 will continue to be in effect indefinitely.
How long did it take you to actually get it? I ordered a Q20i since I saw they were in stock (green square was showing when I ordered) and now today the site says 21 days to get them in stock (red square).

Has the prophototshop stopped selling the Gitzo tripods? I was just looking again, impatiently waiting for the time I can order, and see only the magica kits. Does this mean I have to look elsewhere for the tripod? Thanks!
I purchased a Magica 3 Series tripod and Markins ball head from the PhotoProShop in April of this year, but haven't seen my membership extended. I forgot to include my username at the time of the order, but emailed it to Amy at the PhotoProShop shortly after and she said she'd noted it. Is the offer still valid? I noticed tripods are not listed in the PhotoProShop any longer. Thanks for any help.
Same thing happened to me, but I followed all the rules. I emailed admin and never got a response. I recently mentioned it in another thread and it appears they extended my membership one month, not six.

Brent, You paid for your Membership on 04/19/2014 and one extra month had your membership valid until 05/27/2015. Then we extended it until 11/27/2015. Please let me know if this correct or something is missing.
In October 2013, I paid for a year at the Silver level, good through October 2014. I later purchased a book which gave me a discount for membership upgrade, which I did in April 2014. My understanding was, since I'd paid for a year already, the upgrade would be tacked on to the end of the membership for which I'd already paid, thus, taking my higher level membership through October 2015. The purchase through the Pro Shop would then have added six months to October 2015, extending my membership through April 2016.
I was not aware, that by upgrading my membership, the remaining six months on the other membership would basically be flushed down the toilet. Perhaps it was wrong of me to assume, since I was paying for yet another year, that one year plus one year would equal two years, not one year and six months. It would have made sense had I been credited for the six months it appears I've lost by upgrading. The purchase through the Pro Shop has only extended my membership to the end of what I thought I'd already paid for, thus my confusion of feeling I was not credited for the extra six months.
It all goes back to one of the greatest Odd Couple shows of all time: That's what happens when you assume.
I ordered the Gitzo 3 mounteneer compact with the Magica kit and th photo pro card, hopefuly I get it in time for x-mas maybe I should get it upgrade to gold instead of silver, I took silver first as i wasn't sure about this site but turned out this is a nice place for information
got my Gitzo trippod and Magica series 3 kit today with the BV-22, I think I did a good choice for my x-mas gift so here's some questions, -how does that photo pro card work? -By buying those extend my membership?

Glad to hear you are happy, Mike
>-how does that photo pro card work?
- Automatically your warranty is extended one more year, from 3 to 4 years. If something happens to your ball head: - you notify us and ship your ball head to us - We send you another ball head while we check what's wrong with yours.
>-By buying those extend my membership? Yes. We'll do it over the weekend if it has not been applied yet.
In time, Mike, you will find that we are not just a reliable source of info on anything Nikon, we are a friendly community that cares.
A member just wrote this recently:
"There are a few powerful things that I have noticed being a Nikonian that have touched, supported, and encouraged me. The things I have noted are not structural or things that can be added in a graded or scheduled way.
While I have interacted with others whether posting my own images or commenting on others sometimes a little personal information comes out - like a move they have just gone through, interesting experience in getting the shot, personal preferences for subjects, talents in specific areas, desires to learn certain things, something that moves you to laugh, or a recognition of a mood in an image. Sometimes as Nikonians we think beyond the photograph and that is a great thing.
Having a focus on the photograph and photography is of course of primary importance and the more we can recognize growth, potential, and achievement is also great. Learning from others is fantastic.
It is just nice when personal connections are also enjoyed. I sense a great sense of community here. Thinking a moment or two longer and adding a few more words can make responses carry a little more depth and add to that community/family feeling. There are such good hearted members interacting so warmly here. A very few maybe not so much -some with a little attitude at times and others quickly move on when so much more can be done. Tough to do much about the first but goodness and warmth spreads at Nikonians."
I just bought the MAGICA S Series 4 to go with the Gitzo GT4542LS that I recently purchased. I received most of the order about a week ago and should receive the hub and BV-22 module in the next week or so. Even without the new hub the rig is so much lighter than my old Bogen 3021/3047 combo that I've owned for over 20 years. The functionality is so superior - it's really great.
I noticed that the Nikonian leg pads are about 4" too long for the tripod I have - is it okay to trim the foam to size? It seems like an easy solution but wanted to hear what others have done.
Again, really liking the Markins Q20i head, wonderful stuff.
