Would Like Expert Opinions...ie..this means ya'll
Hi fellow Nikonians, I've been in the market now for quite some time to buy a tripod, ballhead,& flash bracket. This is what I have come up with and I really value the great advice I have received here. So before I go and plunk out the $600-800 please let me know what you think about my choices. I am buying the following for ease of use, solid construction, and mobility. Any additional items you think I should get w/ these items or reasons why I should not get the following would also be appreciated.
All from BH Photo
1) Bogen/Manfrotto Tripod legs w/ 808rc4 3way pan/tilt head Rc-4 QR
2) CB Digital Pro-M Bracket Kit w/ cmp camera plate, fcn flash cord & QR tripod qr.
3) Nikon sc-28 shoe cord
Basically, I shoot events and I want to be able to use my tripod and then remove the bracket and go off shooting candids. Is this the right fit for me?
Thank you in advance, Diane

The best legs are the 055XB in the carrying category.
The RC2 QR system of the 804 is preferred to that of the 808, even at the expense of some load capacity, but load capacity is not that critical in a 3-way pan-tilt head.
All you need to do is buy, in addition, is an architectural plate for the RC2 system to avoid camera twisting.
The CB Digital Pro-M is a darn good bracket.
You may want to also consider the CB Junior Kit if you are going to carry the rig for long periods of time.
The Nikon SC-28 will serve you well.
Have a great time :-)
