Any of the 3021 versions (Classic, Deluxe or Pro) of the Bogen tripod is very good.
As for the ballhead 3055, it is a fine one, although I personally much prefer the 3038 (268 Manfrotto) ... maybe an overkill .......

The N65 and N80 are about the same size.
5.6 x 3.9 x 2.8 in.
From the Nikon website.
If you want more size, consider the grip for either camera (however I believe neither has a vertical shutter release).

Welcome back, Zach. The N80 is about the size and weight of the FM2, which is a classic body design going back to the Seventies. The auto cameras just kept getting bigger and bigger over the years. Now that the N80 is normal size again, it seems small. It's great for holding in one hand, as for macro shooting when you have to move stuff out of the way, or want to hold a flash in the other hand. Even though I have the 105mm Micro, I sometimes use a 50mm f1.8 and a 36mm extension tube to keep the weight down. The grip/battery pack does make a world of difference, too. I wouldn't be able to use the 105mm one-handed without the grip.---scott
