Has anyone used the RRS dedicated L-plates for their F5 or F100. Looks like they provide a more stable setup for the vertical orientation. Keeps the camera right on top of the head and tripod instead of off to the side. Very expensive compared to the basic RRS camera plate which is under $60 but the L plate looks like it would provide a much more stable setup? Thoughts/experience/recommendations anyone?
